Walking Down Memory Lane

SCRIPT I- CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

I want people to see what's inside my head rather than just looking at me.

"Change your life today. Don't gamble on the future, act now without delay"

I want people to see what's inside my head rather than just looking at me.

I want people to see what's inside my head rather than just looking at me.

By nature, every single individual once in a while walks down their memory lane and revisits his happy bygone days. Even with the transitional changes evolving every day, each one of us has nostalgic memories of childhood tucked away in a scrapbook of our mind.  Recalling as to why those days were so enjoyable takes each of us to our innocent growing up moments full of tranquility and love.

Today, as I wander in the busy schedule to and fro within my education, career, and job. the lasting impression from childhood memories has suddenly made its way and molded my thoughts. Outdoor life has always captivated and mingled with my mind. I always enjoyed the scenic beauty around me and admired the adventurous lessons taught by nature.

Due to this attachment with my natural surrounding, I had become attached to solitary walking on evenings. Somedays I would have the company of my friends, other days my father would take me along for walks. But with the stress of increasing work, my brother had replaced everyone around me. It was at times as these that I believe gave me a new outlook into life. His talks were always more like arguments, we barely remained silent, always sharing our thoughts and ideas, our day to day activities. Our arguments were reasonable at times but with every talk, I had learned something or the other. He would always say," I want people to see what's inside my head rather than just looking at me". It was in these arguments that my new interest and curiosity arouse. I found encouragement within his words to explore beyond my school books.

One evening, as I was taking a stroll, my brother began a discussion on bikes. At first, I was unattentive to all his blabbering until a phrase caught my attention and I realized that I found a new interest in his talks. Listening to Technical evolvement arouse within me a curiosity to explore. From then on, I couldn't stop myself from getting into arguments with him as I believe he taught me to choose my career. Somedays our arguments were overheated and we would continue our talks wee hours of nights.

But with the pressure of education and tests-score, these days have become just a distant memory. We get so engrossed in our academics that we always tend to forget what we loved doing. I realized in the latter part of my working days that I have been holding back to my brother's suggestions even today but never had the courage to pursue the risk.

Today as I pause and flashback into my memories, it is the feeling of having a silent company of people around me that makes the most influential contribution to childhood happiness. Long after my memories of toys, test-scores have faded, the feeling of pursuing my long lost dream and my brother's support has given me the strength to move ahead in the field of technology.

Now each day I recite myself the reminder which my brother had engraved in my mind during my childhood:
"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different”.
Today I tell myself that the shortcut to success is to chase your dreams and passion and to live every moment and savor them ion the scrapbook of your mind.
